Visit Rockwood:

You are in for a treat. Rockwood is nestled beside Roosevelt Mountain, which offers a clear view for miles. Visitors can drive up to the look-out and enjoy the view.

After making your drive up to the mountain, come back down and enjoy a day on the water. Rockwood lies on the Tennessee River in the area known as Watts Bar Lake, one of the largest and least inhabited lakes in the Tennessee Valley system. Just outside of Rockwood you can rent pontoon boats, canoes and spend a day on the water. Fishermen - you've found it! The fishing tournaments here offer some of the best fishing in the south.

After a day outdoors, come back in to town for some shopping. Rockwood has a quaint drugstore complete with a soda fountain inside - the Live and Let Live Drugstore is a landmark in Rockwood and you must come in to see the unique gifts and candy that await. Just across the street is an antique mall offering over 10,000 square feet of treasures. O' Those Were The Days has something for everyone.

If you're in town on a Friday night, you are in for a treat. Yonder Hollow is located in the heart of downtown Rockwood in the historic Peterman Building. This old building comes alive on Friday nights when you can hear the traditional ol' timey bluegrass music that can trace its roots to the hills of Tennessee right here. The setting is akin to the set of "O' Brother, Where Art Thou", and you will feel right at home when they pass you a can for donations. Interested?
